Windows Power Plan Settings Impact on Cycle Performance

Windows Power Plan Settings Impact on Cycle Performance

A Windows power plan is a collection of settings that manages how your computer uses power. Power plans typically provide the choice between saving energy or maximizing system performance. There are also balanced power plan and custom power plan options that give you the ability to balance energy consumption and system performance.

The hardware and power plan you are using in Windows can have a direct impact on the performance of the Cycle desktop application.

Power plans that focus on reducing energy consumption or balancing energy consumption and performance can cause the Cycle application to run slow or potentially become unresponsive in certain conditions.

We recommend selecting the High performance power plan in Windows to maximize Cycle performance.

If you are using a laptop, we recommend keeping your laptop connected to a power adapter while running Cycle in addition to using the High performance power plan.

You can update your Power Plan settings by opening Windows Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options
